ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES:
?

Providing high level scientific, strategic and marketing insight combined with editorial leadership of account teams. Effectively line manage and coach Writers and Editorial Team Leaders to ensure excellence in project delivery across the communication mix.

? Combine in-depth scientific understanding of the product/therapy area with commercial / market awareness to provide high level strategic and tactical communication planning within the company and for clients
? Lead, coach and motivate account/project teams, providing support and guidance to team
members on client and project issues
? Through effective line management ensure training, development and appraisal of all line reports, including Writers, Senior Writers, Principal Writers and Editorial Team Managers as required
? Contribute to the development of forward account plans in liaison with Account Director and support Account Managers by actively contributing to project specifications/cost estimates/reconciliations

SKILLS REQUIRED:
?

? Science degree, preferably a PhD.
? Demonstrates strong understanding of the current pharmaceutical and healthcare environment from both an international and domestic perspective
? Can demonstrate strategic and tactical thinking
? Has a thorough understanding of the full range of medical communications outputs
? Can demonstrate experience of:
o Reviewing the work of others and providing constructive feedback
o Effective project management
? Relevant agency experience, or previous work experience in industry
? Demonstrates strong capability for financial management.
? Broad therapy area expertise
? Experienced line manager
? Experienced and respected team leader
? Attentive to detail with strong organisational skills
? Good presentation skills and ability to facilitate meetings
? Computer literacy
? Enthusiastic self-starter, eager to achieve
? Ability to cope well under pressure, multi task and can meet tight deadlines
? Confident and assertive in client and colleague interactions
